Clomid Users
A friend of mine who is already seeing a Fertility Specialist told me this past weekend that the higher the dose of Clomid you are on, the lower the percentage of getting pregnant.
So for example, if you are on 50mg of Clomid, your chances of conceiving are higher than say someone who is on 150mg of Clomid.
I never heard of this and my OBGYN did not tell me this. I will def ask next month when i go in next month but wanted to know if any of you had heard the same.
Thanks!

she may have gotten it wrong - i'm not putting too much stock into it right now because i'm getting my info second hand at that point...but any info you ladies can give me would help to put it into perpective.
have you heard that the longer you are on it lowers your chances of conceiving?

ive never taken clomid so i dont know the stats but i dont think that would be an accurate statement. maybe someone else who knows better can comment.
my doctor said after the third medicated iui my chances of conceiving go down.

Re: Clomid Users
it all depends on how you react to it...some women with 50 mg develop several follies while others on 150mg develop none...I developed 3-4 follies on 100 mg...the starting dose is usually 50mg and they see how you react to that and go from there.

Re: Clomid Users
I would think it would be the other way around. I was on a high dosage of clomid for the first cycle and had 9 follicles. When they lowered my dosage to 50mg I only had 4 at the most.

Re: Clomid Users
I've never heard of that either!!! I myself, am a Clomid User. I'm up to 150mg since we are trying to get my body to produce more follicles.
Never heard of that concept before!!!
