Clomid question- please!
So I took a very low dosage of clomid for this IUI cycle. I tested at 13dpiui and got a BFN so I cancelled my appointment for the beta the following day because I just didn't want to here someone else tell me what I already knew. Now it's 16dpiui and still no AF, I don't believe for one second that the test was wrong at 13dpiui so just wondering does clomid lengthen your luteal phase? Thanks for your input girls! I"m so frustrated by all of this!

Re: Clomid question- please!
Are you on any progesterone? That can delay AF.

Re: Clomid question- please!
Clomid had no impact on my LP- I had a 12/13 day LP when I was taking clomid.

Re: Clomid question- please!
I'm not on progesterone & I did test this morning since still no AF & negative! I always have a regular cycle too-- the clomid was just to increase our chances for the iui since we're dealing with MF. I really didn't want to drag out my cycles any longer

Re: Clomid question- please!
was your clomid cycle closely monitored? did you trigger? are you sure that it was effective and you actually ovulated? if you weren't being closely monitored theres a chance you didn't ovulate or ovulated late.
otherwise you should consider going for a beta just in case. you should always go for the beta.

Re: Clomid question- please!
Did you trigger? Clomid may lengthen you luteal phase. In fact, that's why many people take it. I have a short luteal phase so I took Clomid to try to lengthen it. But it shouldn't become too much longer than a normal LP. However, clomid wouldn't affect implantation so at 16dpiui, if you really know when you ovulated, would mean an HPT would be accurate by now.

Re: Clomid question- please!
Thanks for your input girls! AF arrived this afternoon so clomid definitely messed with my cycle length. I was monitored so I know when I ovulated and i think it definitely lengthened my lp by a couple of days. I'm going to follow up with my re on Monday thanks
