Clingy at 15 months

My DD is clingier then ever!! She goes to daycare and doesn't cry or anything but when we are home she either wants me to hold her or be sitting on the floor playing at all times. In fact, her new favorite thing to do is sit on my lap on the floor while she plays with her toys. It is like I am her chair!!! Every time I get up she starts crying and sometimes I let her cry but I do feel bad.Please tell me this is a phase!!!! Should I be letting her cry more?

ETA: I love the closeness but it has been impossible to get anything done when I am home

Totally normal at that age. Dd1 went through it for a couple weeks. It was brutal. She would scream bloddy murder when I tried to get her down for a nap. It's separation anxiety and its a phase and will pass. Hang in there

Normal (I hope). My 15 month old DS is the same exact way. He's always been clingy, but now he cries even when I leave the room or drop him off at daycare, etc.

My 14 month old is the same way. He's been home with me for the summer and I have a feeling it'll be hard going back to daycare.

My 15 month old is going through the same thing! He wants to be held a lot more than usual and has been fighting nap time for the past week. I'm a SAHM so it's not like I'm going anywhere but he is so clingy. He won't even let my husband sit with him while he has a bottle or bring him to bed at night. I'm going crazy!

My almost 18 month old cries like I'm killing him every time I leave the room to go to the bathroom!

So glad I am not alone. Do you ever just let them cry tho? I mean how many times can I pick her up or sit on the floor. I swear it was over 50 times today, my knee is throbbing lol

I usually let him cry a little. I get down on his level and say, "you are fine. Mommy needs to [make dinner]. She'll play with you when she's done."

My 17 month old has been like this on and off for the past couple of months. It's not too bad but there are times where she's super clingy.

I'm so sorry! Dd was like this too - it didn't really subside until the last few months (And even now she has her moments of clinginess!). I swear there's some days she just wants to crawl back up into my uterus!

In the past few weeks my 17 month old has gotten bad. Normally if me and my mom are in the room she won't look at me, the other day I had to hide behind a pool float in the pool to get 5 minutes,to myself.
