I did a couple of times but only for the teacher I had that basically graded us on the length of our essays.

This is semi off topic -- I had to read Animal Farm for this teacher and just didn't finish it before I walked into the test. I had about 10 pages left. Well it turns out they were a really important 10 pages and missed a BIG ENDING! I fudged through the test and still got an a since I was verbose. LOL

yes, when I had no idea what Shakespeare was saying. I did read the book, though. I didnt understand it, but I tried!

I used to love the shakespsear books where on the opposing pages they gave a defintition of unfamiliar words and phrases and sometimes a synopsis of what was happenning on the page. It really aided my early understanding of shakespeare

I loved these versions as well!! I was actually getting what he was saying.

I did in high school for a book I hated, but need to write a paper on. I probably also bought some for Shakespeare b/c I couldn't understand it. I read the plays, but didn't really know what was going on in some of the scenes.

Yes, I bought them when I couldnt understand Shakespear. Although I read the plays completely, I found cliff notes helped when I didnt understand an underlying meaning or something. Chat Icon
