Cleaning Toys

So I usually use a damp cloth with a tad bit of soap to wipe down DD"s toys.. just wondering if I could use clorox/disinfectant wipes to do the job -- my concern is that DD ois in the phase where EVERYTHING goes in her mouth.. so Im thinking I shouldnt use the disinfectant wipes?

Cleaning Toys

if they're plastic toys (not plush) you could prob put them in the dishwasher. I used to work in a daycare and we used to use a solution of bleach and water. It was 1 part bleach to 10 parts water.

I wouldn't . Hot water kills germs. Just use a hot damp cloth or those toy wipes that are free of chemicals.

If they are plastic and small enough I put them in the sink and wash with hot soapy water. For larger toys or plush toys I use Seventh Generation disenfecting spray, it is botanically made and is safe for food and contact surfaces.

Re: Cleaning Toys

Ds was really sick once when he was a baby and the ped told me to fill the sink with a diluted bleach solution. I think like 10:1 and to soak everything in there. I can't remember if I did a rise after that. I know the daycare do a bleach cleaning everyday. The director always told me that if you can smell the bleach you are using too much.

I just don't feel comfortable using bleach with something that will go into her mouth so I use the Babyganics cleaners.
