City mini..added 1 more question at bottom
anyone have the city mini in black? If so are you concerned about it getting too hot for the baby? I'm asking because DH went to BBB today and they had the city mini in black only on sale for $199. He bought it but now I'm wondering why only the black was on sale.

Re: City mini
I would not be worried about it getting too hot. But I would worry about it showing all the dirt and stains. As someone who owns a black car, I know that black is one of the hardest colors to keep clean. I originally was going to do black and have changed my mind.

Re: City mini
I wanted the orange, but found a used black one for $40. Not sure how hot it will get, but it looks great and you can take out the fabric and through it in the wash.

Re: City mini
The stains are a concern too. I feel better that you can take the fabric off and throw it in the wash.

Re: City mini
Most people I know have the black-- so I don't think it's an issue! Sounds like a good deal!

Crashing...
I have a black city mini and that was my main concern before we got it. I can honestly say it does not get any hotter than other colors. I think it's because of the type of fabric.
But I will say that if he found it on sale, it's probably not the new 2011 version which has important improvements (extra strap that lets the child sit more upright plus the board for the back of the seat).

Re: City mini
Thanks everyone! Do you think I should keep it since it's 2010 or should I just spend the extra $ and get the 2011? It also came with the snack tray.

I say keep it. I bought the city mini 2010 double stroller (twins). It was so much cheaper. Don't stress. You can buy the extra board insert on amazon.City mini board insert
