Oh my..... thank you all so much for these wonderful responses and great ideas.
I am going to mull over them this weekend and come up with a plan for how to give meaningful gifts.
I'm going to try to remember being a kid and how I loved my stocking stuffers more than my gifts!

Also try BJ's. They had some really cute gift baskets for good prices. I got a really nice Starbucks gift set for about $18.
I agree. I get great deals at Costco on gifts, especially toys for the kids and books, CDs and DVDs.
I also have gotten some good buys on lenox and other gift items at Marshalls and T.J. Maxx.
