Christening-restaurant rec
Hey ladies,
Planning on having my DD's Christening probably sometime in May and need suggestions of restaurants for the party after. The church is in Ronkonkoma so I guess anywhere near there (Ronk, Holbrook, Patchogue...). Not familiar with many restaurants around the area (have only lived out here for a little under a year) so I'd appreciate any help!

Re: Christening-restaurant rec
We used john harvards brewhouse by the mall.
The food was good, they were very accommodating, and people loved the beer tasting table. It was different.
The only thing is we had 60 ppl and I feel that was the MAX they could hold in their private room.

Re: Christening-restaurant rec
Not sure what kind of a place you are looking for budget and size wise but her are a few suggestions, all within about 20 minutes of the Ronkonkoma area:
The Long Island Grill-Ronkonkoma, about $23 pp (depending upon package), it's right on portion road and has 2 rooms to choose from. We had our rehearsal dinner here.
The Sonoma Grill in Sayville-it's on Sunrise Highway, I think.
The Garden Grill in Saint James-we had DD's there, lots of different rooms to choose from, we paid $30 pp I think.
Mama Lombardi's in Holbrook-I think they only do in house catering events on Sunday, but I could be wrong. I love this place.

Blue in Bluepoint. I had my there and was very pleased. The place is gorgeous and the price wasn't bad They have prices on their website Sonoma Grill and Lombardis are nice as well. Lombardis time might not work for you because it's pretty limited. I looked there but the time between the church and party was way too long

I just had my twins first birthday at Mario's restaurant on Motor Parkway in Hauppauge. We have a private room and the food was outstanding!!!

Re: Christening-restaurant rec
It's not a restaurant but more of a catering hall, but The Island Hills Golf & Country Club in Sayville was spectacular

Definitely agree with them too!!
I called every single restaurant on long island (at least it felt that way lol) over a period of about a week to book a place for DD's christening for May 2nd. I only got 2 places that were available and they wanted it to start at 630pm!! (mass was at 1pm) I didn't realize it was communion season lol

Re: Christening-restaurant rec
How fancy (or not) are you looking to go ?
Bruno's on Hawkins Avenue in Ronkonkoma is where we had my SIL's baby shower and they did a really great job...It's nice because although its a bar/restaurant they have a private room thats nice and big...The kids can run around etc....Food was also really good
I would try them- Since they don't really advertise, they may be available !!
