Re: Christening
5 months. I wanted to do it sooner (in the summer) but we had a lot of family that was away.

Re: Christening
What age do you think is too early to christen the baby? I am due the end of May and wanted to do it near the end of July. But do you think that is too early?

Re: Christening
You can christen the baby any time you want. It's really up to you.
I wanted to wait cuz DS was born in June and felt the summer was too soon. So we are doing it this Sunday and he will be 4 months old.

Re: Christening
my son was 2-1/2 months. He was born 5/23 and we had it 8/13 and it was just perfect.
ETA- my only concern was that I wanted him to have his shots which he got at 8 weeks. I'd say anything before those shots is too early.

Just curious as to why it would be to early to christen the baby before their shots?

Because you're really not supposed to take the babies out in public before 8 weeks. Also when you do finally take them out, you want them imunized. God forbid they came in contact with something!
