Check from Amex on a closed account
Is this legit? I'm scared to deposit it. DH closed an Amex account in 2007 and just recently got a check (small amount - under $50) from them. Letter says:
"This is because we did not send you a statement for your billing period ending in 04/2007. The check is for charges, including fees, transactions, and finance charges, as applicable, that were billed on that statement."
Anyone else ever get this years later?

I would call Amex if you are worried, they will be able to tell you if they sent out checks.
