question re: writing a check and having the funds come out of the account
if you write someone a check and they deposit it (they don't bank at the same bank as you) how long does it take for that money to be withdrawn from your account? Does it happen the next day or does it take a day or two?

Usually 2 days
BUT it is best to make sure that the funds are available the day that you write the check

They could also go direct to your bank and cash the check too.
