Thinking of doing a 4-5 day trip to Charleston SC end of August- does anyone have any recommendations on activities/place to stay?

We went when our DD was 4 y/o. Some of the places we visited: Charleston Museum, aquarium, Patriot's Point, Boone Hall Plantation, Isles of Palm beach. We really loved Charleston.

we went for 4 nights last summer for our 10 year anniversary. LOVED it!! we stayed at King Charles Inn. would definitely recommend it!! very nice, clean, really close to walk to all of the restaurants and shopping and stuff downtown. had a small outdoor pool, which not many of the downtown hotels had. They also had a free happy hour from like 4-6 for guests. with discounted bar drinks, and some cheese and crackers and grapes and stuff set out. Then at night from like 8-9 they had tea, coffee and cookies out. we went to Boone Hall plantation, patriots point (old battleships, etc), fort sumpter (old military fort), did a horse and carriage tour of the city, took a day trip about an hour away to EDisto Island for a beach day... and spent time just walk around downtown charleston. lots of great restaurants to check out! you'll love it!
