We're going to Charleston with our 3.5 year old DD. Any reccs for kid friendly restaurants and things to do? I already have the aquarium, childrens museum, a plantation tour and City Market on our list.

Charleston is fabulous! So many great dining options and things to do/see! I go there frequently for work and have vacationed there many times and am going again in June with my brother and his family!

As far as dining...

Fleet Landing is a new favorite, it's right on the harbor, so you can watch the boats, and many times see dolphins going by.

Blossom is downtown and is another new favorite. There are 2 other sister restaurants in the chain, Magnolia and Cypress...they're all on the same street, very close to each other.

I had appetizers at Poogan's Porch the last time I was there, I wanted to have dinner, but was too full from lunch.

Kaminsky's is a great place for desserts.

We had breakfast at Toast and it was delicious.

The fried green tomatoes at Eli's Table are amazing.

Drinks and appetizers at Market Pavilion are great, it's a rooftop bar/restaurant, so you can see the water.

Things to do...

If you're interested in doing a boat tour, I highly recommend Tideline Tours on Folly Beach. Captain Anton is fabulous, I've been on the tour many times, we always see dolphins and Captain Anton points out many of the other animals, plants, etc. living in the marsh.

Tideline Tours

Definitely plan to spend some time at the Battery/Waterfront Park. It's gorgeous and I always see dolphins in the water. There's also a splash pad for kids, so be sure to take a towel, change of clothes, etc.! It's great fun! The pineapple fountain in the same area is great as well.

If you're into history, you can't go wrong, there's just so much to see and do. Carriage Tours, Boat tours, etc.

Thanks, but we went last week lol. We did eat at Fleet Landing and Toast, both really good. We walked along the water every night, it was gorgeous. My DD loved going in the fountains, the swing benches and seeing the dolphins.
