changing the world, one conversation at a time
i'm feeling very humbled and proud, today.
my son is reading the diary of anne frank in school. today, on our way to school, he asked me about WWII and the holocaust.
granted, we didn't have too much time... but i find that some of the best conversations are had when they aren't "planned"
we had a talk about jews, christians, gypsies, etc and the horrible things some people do to one another because of religion.
i'm not a religion scholar, but i did my very best to change what my family had taught me. i was raised to think that EVERYONE who was not catholic was the spawn of the devil.
i know this conversation isn't going to change the world, but it felt good to have my son's attention on such an important topic.
thanks for reading

Conversations like that are why i'm looking forward to having kids someday
if you can teach your son to think for himself and to learn from history.. then you're doing the world a great service
that's a great story!
