Changing Ob/Gyn
My DH and I are just starting TTC...and I've just hit the last straw with my ob/gyn...long wait times, lectures, and a very clinical approach...not quite what I'm looking for in an ob/gyn - not to mention the fact that she never said anything about getting bloodwork done to see if I need a booster for measles, rubella, etc. (my GP caught that one)
Anyway, the earliest appointment I could get with a new ob/gyn is at the end of the month. I will be ovulating in another week or so...and am due for a pap...should I go ahead and keep trying...or wait till after my first appt with this new dr?

Re: Changing Ob/Gyn
I don't think it's necessary to see your OB/GYN prior to TTC. (of course unless you had been under their care for other issues). I happened to have my annual appt about 2 months prior to TTC. She just told me to go off the pill 2 months prior (perfect timing) and if i wanted to start taking prenatal vitamins. Other than that i guess i just make an appointment once i get a BFP!

Re: Changing Ob/Gyn
Thanks all. I already had the pre-TTC convo with my obgyn...told her when we were going to start trying (starting later than originally thought), when I would be going off of BCP, and have already been on prental vitamins for a few months... I guess I had just hoped to not be starting from scratch with a doctor at this point - but it is more important to have a doctor I'm happy with....it's still early enough in the process.
