chandelier question
i bought a chandelier to put in my DR
there is a circular light fixture in there and before we put up the chandelier we need to find a "plate" to cover the hole
does anyone know if this has an exact name?

you can get a ceiling medallion. however they are generally decorative. not sure if that's what you are looking for.

shouldnt i be getting it to match the ceiling color (white) and not my chandelier (black)?

We have a medallion on our DR chandelier and it's sort of plain actually. And it's white to match the ceiling.

I looked at some pictures online and it shows both options.
I think its a personal preference. If you really want it to stand out on the ceiling make it black. If you want it to be a subtle architectural detail on the ceiling then make it white.
