CGH/ CVS
Which do you think is more safe and accurate: the CGH/PGD test or a CVS performed after 9-12 weeks? what are you basing your answer on? Experience, Dr. statement?

Re: CGH/ CVS
When I thought we were going to do IVF, I had scheduled to do PGD. When we got pregnang on our own, we decided not to wait for an amnio but to get a CVS. PGD wasn't going to be covered 100% through our insurance. Only a few labs do this test and it is very hard to get insurance to reimburse you for it. However, it is good to know how your embryos are before they are implanted. My RE said that even if I did do PGD, she would want me to have either an Amnio or a CVS anyway. These tests test a larger sample and have a more accurate result. If you have any questions about a CVS, please dont hesitate to fm me. I would recommend it for anyone who want to be sure their baby is healthy. Painful, but it only lasts a few minutes.
Good Luck.
