Cereal
I think I am finally going to give my son cereal this morning. Do I nurse him first or give him the cereal? Do I do it one after the other or wait in between the two? Also, do I just give it to him in the morning or afternoon and evening too.
Thanks!

Re: Cereal
I do not BF, but I started by giving it to my son first, then his bottle, right before bed time.

This is what I did also. After about 1 week I started giving him cereal in the morning also.

Re: Cereal
Start slow with baby, seeing it is his 1st time. Try for one week rice cereal or even oatmeal (one or the other). Stick with one kind for at least a week, to make sure no reaction occurs. You can give in morning and evening. Make sure baby is not fussy, because you will not have good results. The first few times as well, he might just make funny faces and push it back out with his tongue. I always start off by nursing first, very very short while (just to wet his palet), then feed cereal. Then when he pushes away or really starts to grown about eating, I stop feeding him and finish up with nursing him. That is what works for us, hope it can be of help to you. Best of luck and be patient with him, it will be a whole new wonder to him at first.
