If you click on the recreation guide, it should be in there. I don't think they are open during the week yet though.

I know last year they didn't open during the week til after the 4th of July. I assume it's the same this year.

Re: Centereach Pool, sprinkler park????
I've always wondered about this park and always had the same problem with the website, too.
Does anyone know if it's the kind of place I can take my 3yo and my 18-mo old --- and keep track of both of them? IE -- is there a fence/enclosed area to keep them in?
I like Corey Beach but there's no fence between the playground, beach, street so that's a dealbreaker for me. Same is true for Bayport beach but I really like the town beach in Mt Sinai because the playground is at least fenced in -- any info on the Centereach pool?

IMO.....I personally would not feel comfortable taking 2 kids there myself....There is no enclosure seperating the sprinkler park or the kiddie pool from the main pool (I havent been there in 2 years, so unless it has changed, this is how it was)
Never used the payground so not sure about that part

Thank you -- this is exactly what info I was looking for! DH doesn't understand why I won't take the boys to the beach on days like today and I keep reminding him it's not safe when they out-number me. Maybe next year if their 'listening ears' improve

Re: Centereach Pool, sprinkler park????
I don't think its open til july during the week... The sprinkler area is very small. It is enclosed on 3 sides. The kiddie pool is enclosed with a fence. The open side of the sprinkler area opens to the big pool. So I usually stand right there and let him run wild in the sprinkler area. The playground is a completely seperate area. I think you would be ok with 2 kids there.

Re: Centereach Pool, sprinkler park????
DS is a wanderer. I have not been to the pool in...um...years but I did just take DS to the playground. While the playground is nice and DS enjoyed it, it is not fully enclosed and DS of course found the openings and very nearly ran into the parking lot (would like to know what idiot engineered that
