Cell service issues?

Since last friday my phone has been dropping calls. I mean every single call drops! My husband is having same issue, my inlaws were here for a couple days and it happened to them too. I called verizon and they did a reset (whatever that is) and said there are no issues in my nieghborhood. I checked on a local FB group and 2 others commented they are having issues too. Anyone have this issue? What can I do? I work from home so this is really bad for me.

Re: Cell service issues?

I have Verizon and haven't had this issue, but it might be something with the tower in your area if other people in your area are experiencing it too.

If it continues I would contact them again.

One time we had an issue with our Verizon Fios- the on demand was pixelated all the time.
They couldn't figure it out.
They tried everything.
Others in our area had it too.

Finally, after like MONTHS, they realized it was an issue with some main fuse or whatever, and it FINALLY got fixed.

So sometimes they need to investigate further

Re: Cell service issues?

Where are you located? I wonder if it's the area I'm in. It's been happening with mine and DH's cell for months - literally months. I call and they tell me there are no issues. I can go on an on about how terrible their tech support has been. Blaming my phone for the problem. Telling me to make space by deleting pics, apps, etc. even though it happens on DH's also. So obviously the problem isn't my phone. The only solution they had for me was to change a setting to help boost the calls through wi-fi, so it hasn't been as bad since they had that setup. If I don't have wi-fi though, it's terrible again. I've had this account with verizon for almost 15 years and never had such a bad problem with the service.

Re: Cell service issues?

Oh as the PP said, if you phone has the ability to do wifi calling, you can use that when you are at home and need it to work.
It doesn't use the signal at all- just your wifi.

What kind of phone do you have?

Which Iphone? Some of the older ones don't have wifi calling cability, the newer ones do.
If you have it, and turn it on, you won't drop calls if you are home and connected to wifi

We're in Bellmore and don't have any issues. Are your calls only being dropped at home?

Re: Cell service issues?

I've noticed within the past few months dead zones that I go through to or from work where calls will get dropped. Primarily at points on Bethpage Parkway, the Northern State, the LIE and Sagtikos in Western Suffolk, Eastern Nassau

Incredibly annoying.
