Cell Phones Just to Make calls

Am I the only one who rarely uses it and I just make phone calls with it? Once in a while I do text.... that's it! No apps, no games, going on the net, etc.



DH makes fun of me that I need a new phone b/c mine is old. He's into all the new tech stuff and I'm happy with my old cell. LOL

I'm the same way, text every once and a while, but my cell is only for phone calls, I don't use it for anything else.

Im with you.. I have a flip phone.. no keyboard no internet..I do use it to texted once in a while but without a keyboard..it's gotta be quick texts!!

i wish i only used my phone for phone calls... no data plan, no text plan... id save about $40 lol

i said the same thing to DH before i got my DroidX....was i sooooo wrong! Having a smartphn does make a diff ! I text, chk emails, send replies, make the grocery list, send that to DH if he wants to add to it, bookmark fav recipes, even play a few games.. angry birds is my fav for now

so DH just smiles at me when he sees me using my for for more than just making a phn call

I was the same way till DH got the Droid Incredible...now I cannot wait for my upgrade

I'm with you. I just make calls and the occasional text/pic. I "upgraded" to a droid and I hate it. WAYYYYY too fancy for me.

I never use mine, in fact, it hasnt been charged in over a week. I HATE them. I keep it in my car, with the car charger in case I get stuck somewhere. I maybe use 10 minutes a month.

I'm the same way. I only recently started texting.

If I want to look something up on the internet I go on the computer. I don't need all these fancy apps.

i was the same way... maybe used 10 minutes a month, on a "big" month.
UNTIL... i got my Iphone. it changed my life LOL
i've used the "google maps" app as a GPS a bunch of times when i was in an unfamiliar area, i've used it to look up a recipe in grocery store to make sure i got everything i needed, i've used it at work ( i'm a speech therapist, so i use the voice recorder to record the kids talking and play it back for them to "grade" themselves), used it to look up the chinese food place's phone number to order dinner on my way home, used the Shutterfly app to show people my pictures of different stuff.....
i used to think the smartphones were pointless- but once you have one, you really see there a millon ways it comes in handy- i actually feel like i'm getting more for my money because i'm actually using my phone now LOL

Both DW and I only use it for calls. I text maybe 5 times a year, and DW even less. I take about 3 pics a year, and have no games on it.

And that's just fine with me....
