Cell Phone Video Backup
My cell phone is shot and I need a new one desperately. I've been holding off cause I have so many pictures/videos and I have no idea where to store them. I have all my pictures on shutterfly but unsure of where to store my videos. Is there an app everyone uses? TIA

Re: Cell Phone Video Backup
Do you have a computer if you have enough space transfer it there. Or get an external drive and upload it there.

I have so many videos the only way to fit it on there is probably to buy more space on the cloud. I have a computer but I’m not sure if I have enough space for it. I didn’t even think to get an external drive - I might just do that. I’m not that tech savvy but if I do that I can transfer them onto the new computer that way right?

I automatically back up everything to my Google Drive on-line. I also have several external hard drives. I plug it into my home PC, back up everything, then bring it in to work and put it on a drive there. External drives can be plugged into almost any computer to copy the data back onto.
You want to have at least one copy of your data outside your home. If your main copy and your backup are both in the house, and it catches on fire, you lose your house and all your photos. If you have a copy off-site, you have much more data protection.

I’m crazy so I do the free backup to google photos and then I pay the additional 99 cents a months for the additional cloud storage.

I usually put them on my computer which is backed up on a hard drive and I also keep them on the microSD card once it's maxed out and store those in our fire box.

I pay Flickr $25/year for unlimited storage - all my photos and videos are there. You can make them private if you don't want others to see.

This is what I do. I love doing it to google drive because it backs up everytime I'm on wifi so I never have to think to do it.
