CD of IUI?

I am trying to figure out how I will get out of work for my IUI. Does anyone know the LATEST CD they will do an IUI?

It really depends on your cycles.

I didn't O until CD 20 sometimes and CD 14 others.

Do you have a "usual" O date?

so they woudl wait until CD 20 to do an IUI? you wouldn't get a trigger shot?

No, what she is saying is that it depends on how your follicles develop. Some months there may be mature follies by CD14 other months CD20 - once they have mature follicles they will trigger you and do the IUI within the next 48 hours. There is almost no way to predetermine what day it will be.

As an aside, you can go to work after an IUI - they don't tell you to stay off your feet or anything like that.

They wont schedule and IUI date without monitoring your follies. They watch the follies to see how much they are growing and generally by that alone they can tell when you're going to O. For me, I was also using OPKs and when I got a positive OPK I called and made my appointment for the next day.

Are you able to tell your office what you're going through - atleast your boss or someone in HR? So they can be more flexible with your time off?

Usually you wont have more than 24 hrs notice of when you will have your IUI.

OK thanks ladies. Unfortunately I am in HR and my boss is a big jerk and I can't tell him ANYTHING. I'm going to just have to call in sick for the days I need to be out. They'll just have to deal. I hate doing it but I know he'll give me a hard time - since this is our busy time of year - but I don't want to put this off.

I know I o'd on day 17 with 100 mgs of clomid and I thought that was late so they would give me a trigger shot. But I guess what you are saying is it's the size of the follies! thanks again
