CBEFM questions....
Hello. Im a pretty regular poster but dont want friends and family to know Im TTC yet.
Im looking to start using an ovulation predictor kit and from reading on here it sounds like CBEFM is the best way to go. (I got pregnant on the first month of trying with my DD but that isnt happening this time around).
So anyway....I am on CD 8 and do not have the CBEFM yet...can i still get it and use it for this month or do you have to set it on the day you get AF?
Also, it is so expensive....how many times can you test with the CBEFM before you have to buy something new....TIA!!

Unfortunately it will be too late for you to start with the CBEFM.
You have to program it by CD 5.
You can use it for YEARS! I got mine from someone on here... she had gotten it from another friend who had 2 or 3 children with it.
I used it for a while, then passed it onto another friend (she got PG) and then gave it back to me... and I passed it on again - and it's still going strong!

Ok Thanks...sucks that we cant use it this month though....my cycle is crazy ever since I had DD so I have no clue when I ovulate now...oh well...guess we'll just wing it this month....thanks again!
One more question....Are there test strips or something that you need to keep buying?? If so, how often and how much do they go for? Thanks!

yes..you will need to buy sticks every so often. they come 30 to a box. the cheapest i've found is amazon.com for like $38 for a box of 30.
the first few months you may use up to 15 strips as it gets used to you and will ask you to test for alonger period of time. as you use it, you may find yourself using not nearly as many as 15.
