CBEFM & Deanna's Plan
This is my first cycle using CBEFM. I also wanted to try doing Deanna's Plan. Today is CD9 and I got 2 bars (high fertility) on the CBEFM this morning.
So, my questions are -
1. When should we be BD?
2. Is it possible that the CBEFM is wrong? I only ask because I have long cycles and it's only CD9 for me. I wasn't expecting to get anything but low for awhile.
Thanks ladies!

Re: CBEFM & Deanna's Plan
if its your first cycle using it, it's not going to be as accurate because it takes time for the monitor to get used to your cycle. if you have long and erratic cycles it may give you a high reading for a very long time in which case you may or may not ever get a peak reading. if your cycle is pretty regular though i would just use it along with OPKs and trust when you normally get +OPKs. you can always BD to be safe but if you have long cycles it may tire you out by the time you really are ovulating.
good luck.

Re: CBEFM & Deanna's Plan
high is different from peak. you could get days of high fertility. I've had about 5 days of high a few times, esp when it was getting to know me. I know someone else on here who had longer than 5 high fertile days.
It will take about 3 cycles to get to know you. And don't ever skip a test... because then it takes 3 more cycles to get to know you again. Trust me, I skipped a test once and it was all wonky!
I wouldn't say it's wrong, I'd say it's getting to know you. Once it knows you.. it's really an awesome TTC tool!!! I LOVED it!!!
how long are your cycles normally? I too have long cycles. I usually don't ovulate until D18 - 21. I also did Deanna's Plan. With long cycles, just be ready to really a whole lot!!! but it's good for the guys sperm production too!!
Since you did get a high reading today... and Deanna's Plan says to start on CD9 i think it is... I say start now and go every other day until you get a peak reading, then go every single day for 3 or 4 days straight.
In the future when the CBEFM knows you, then you can somewhat adjust the plan a little bit. For me... since I would O around CD18 or later... we would start CD 10 and go every other day until HIGH fertility... then we went EVERYDAY during HIGH and PEAK fertility time. It's like a Deanna's Plan on crack. but hey that's what got me my BFP so no complaints here!!!
Good Luck!!!
