Car seat and rental car
We are traveling overseas in October with our 18 month old and renting a car. I had all intentions of bringing our carseat on the plane with us but now I am wondering if we should use the carseat they provide. Has anyone used the rental carseat or should we just bring our own and install it when we get to the airport?

I always bring my own and check them with the luggage. I don't trust the car rental companies to be giving me good, clean, seats or the size that you may need.

I would just make sure that the car seats are compatible (there may be different regulations in different countries) and will fit in the car.

We are going to bring her seat. I know that it is safe, and I think it will be a comfort to her when we are away and everything else is haywire!
