Car seat

So, we had to cut my 3 yo ds out of his nautilus last week. The buckle stuck and I couldn't get him out of the seat after a 20 min struggle. We are in the market for a new seat for out 18 mo, too. Initially, I was going to get him a nautilus, but now I'm not so sure.

Now I need to buy 2 seats. Do I get nautilus, and chalk up the sticky buckle as a fluke? Also considering the Argos and Britax frontier, but not sure the britax is worth the extra expense.

Both boys are very tall - 3 yo is 40 inches, 18 mo is 35 inches tall.

The seats will be going in a new explorer, but we are getting a new SUV this summer if that makes a difference.

So nautilus, Argos, or frontier? Tia

Wow, that's crazy! I'd contact Graco if I were you - perhaps they'd be willing to send you a new one or at least offer a nice discount on a new one. I am typically a very big fan of the Nautilus, but I can see why you wouldn't want to get another! The Frontier is supposedly a great seat as well. I don't think you can go wrong with any of those!

Re: Car seat

I emailed graco. They sent us a shipping label and will cut us a check when they get the car seat. They've been great about it, but I googled and it's a very common issue apparently. I'd hate for it to happen again.

Oh well that's good! Yes, I've heard about the "sticky" buckle, but so far we haven't had much of an issue with it, thankfully!

Re: Car seat

I would still stick with the Graco. go for the Argos Elite if you can swing it. This has been a complaint that has arisen, but it seems. On a handful of seats.

Re: Car seat

The only Argos elite I see is online only and a model year 2011. Do you know where I can find a newer model?
