car lease
looking to lease a car for someone but want to spend the absolute lowest price possible. Realistically what am i looking at?
not picky. just a simple car - 20 miles a week on average.

Great deals right now.
If you want a simple, small, non luxury car you can probably get a deal for $160 or less a month.
What exactly are you looking for -size wise?
Compact? mid size?
Like a Toyota or a Hyundai?
Any money down?
2 year or 3 year?

it doesnt matter. its for my mom. she doesnt care what it is. something to get her to and from work. she walks to work but is getting tired and doesnt want to walk in the winter. i guess a civic? is there anything cheaper?

Hyuandai Elantra- great car, should be an inexpensive lease
or you can go with a Toyota Corolla- also should be pretty cheap.
Or the civic, yes
This is the best time of year for you to get one because they are dying to clear out the 2015s.
I made ONE inquiry on a car lease and I've been getting hounded by emails- they are practically GIVING me the car to get rid of it!

not sure on the credit card. I haven't started the actual lease process myself, other than getting prices, and I've never done it before. I know they run a credit check, but I'm not sure that a credit card would be a requirement.

She will need a good credit history...leasing is not like it was years ago where they gave leases to everyone. If her credit is not good, someone will probably have to cosign. Speaking from experience as I have not great credit

Go to Huntington Honda. It's the end of their year. We were offered a lease for less than $100 a month.

Not sure whose running the best deals, but she doesn't need a credit card, just good credit. If that's an issue you could always co-sign for her.

I'd look into Honda. They tend to have the best lease incentives. Especially if you go right now they are still trying to get rid of the 2015's. My sister has not great credit and leased a Civic about 2 months ago for 190/month, with only paying taxes and dmv upfront. You do not have to get service from dealer when you lease from (at least not with Honda).
