Car insurance

For the life of me I cannot find car insurance for less than $200 month for my car. No accidents or claims since at least 2009, no tickets/points/violations. Maybe it's my car? (Lincoln MKZ). We can't bundle with my DH's car because he has a commercial policy. I have tried Farmers, Progressive, Allstate, State Farm, Esurance, USAA (DH's late father was in the Army but they cannot verify) and they are all within the same range that I pay for Geico ($190). Maybe this is just the going rate?

Re: Car insurance

Are you taking all the discounts available? They offer discounts if you're a member of a union, even a college frat/sorority, or work in certain industries, etc. Underwriting calculates auto ins rates based on make/model year of car, your specific address (Queens and NYC usually higher due to higher chance of theft), your driving record (no points), and last time you did defensive driving (that also knocks down the rate).

Also, shop all over - include Liberty Mutual, Travelers, etc. I happen to work for an insurance company so I am fortunate we pay $108/month for 3 cars (all model years 1996 through 2012) because I get a 10-15% employee discount, but before we switched, we had GEICO and found them to be the cheapest at the time. We also get a discount because we pay our premium in full per year.

Car insurance

I pay with Allstate $180 a month full coverage for two cars- Honda Civic and Honda CR-V. I had Jen Jennings from Bradley and Parker recently shop for insurance for us for home and auto to see if we can get a cheaper rate and for both home and auto, I have the best rate with Allstate and she couldn't find me anything better than what I have- not even close. Try my Allstate Broker- Michelle Otoole at Mark Jones agency. If you want to use my name FM me!!

I pay under $100/month Allstate for a 2015 4 door sedan. Driving record is spotless. We also pay slightly less for paying 6 months up front rather than monthly.

Location is a factor and yes no discount for multi car doesn't help.

I work for one of those companies if you want me to just try again.

there really are other factors such as yes, type of car, credit (not a myth, taken into consideration). and of course the background of license.

Car insurance

I have three cars, two with full coverage and one with minimal and pay 230 per month. That sounds like a lot.

Are you listed as married on your policy? If you are still listed as single that could be it too.

I would be happy to shop the rate for you. I have access to carriers that the public cannot get quotes through, all are "A" rated.

Feel free to message me, email me at [email protected], or call me at 631-650-4036.
