I'm so sorry you are going through this! Hopefully everything is okay, but I also just want to say that I was born with a heart defect that wasn't detected in utero (but WAS there). I had to have surgery as a child but I am healthy and active today and always have been. Please try your best to stay positive and know that in today's day and age, there are so many options and services no matter what the outcome is!

I don't have any advice except do what would make you and DH happy. You have to be the one to live with whatever decision you decide. Talk to the doctor as much as you can. I've read so many times where the test comes up positive and the baby is fine or when the test comes up fine and that turns out to be false as well.
You and your family are in my prayers!

I'm so sorry to hear this. Go for more testing, try to keep positive, which I know if not easy at all. Get all the information possible, and have your doctor get the ball rolling asap so you don't have to think of all the what if's for very long. Many prayers to you

Can't process this...bad news after NT scan **Update**
I had my scan on Tuesday. The tech took the measurment 3 times and got 3 different numbers. I asked how is that possible. She said it depends on the babys angle and everyone reads it differently. I would go back and have a different tech do the measurments. Praying for you.

Thank you for all your thoughts, kind words and most of all prayers.
Right now we are scheduled to go to Madonna in Brightwaters tomorrow at 815 for genetics and 9 for sono.
At that location they only do the CVS on Wednesdays not sure if we could go to the other location earlier
Stony brook was not able to get us in till next week and of course the sooner the better we get in somewhere fast.
A million thoughts have been racing through my head all day. Thank god my DH is fantastic and has been a god send today. We went today expecting good news only to find out this. I know it's not 100% but the measurement of the fold is what greatly concerns me. Its more than double what it should be. I do believe the blood results for the other trisomys was not a high chance something like 1/1000 so that puts my mind at ease a little.
I've tried to stay off google as much an possible today but sometimes I'm my own worse enemy. What I have read are some positive stories of the measurement being this high early on and it turning into nothing or it being one of the other trisomys where our risk was a lot lower.
I do strongly believe in the power of prayer and right after leaving the doctors office we went right to our church and lot candles and prayed for a long time.
I ask for continued prayers from all of you if you can please. The more we can get the better.
And I keep trying to think Positive but it's so hard :(

I am so sorry to read this. I can highly recommend Dr. Goldstein at the Brightwaters location. He is wonderful, honest, compassionate and straightforward. You will not be disappointed seeing him or his staff!

So sorry that you are going through this. Hoping you get some answers tomorrow, hopefully to put your mind at ease but if not, at least so you can process things with all of the info you need. One step at a time and if major decisions need to be made, make them based on what you and DH want not on what others may want, believe, etc. Praying for you.

Please go get further tests. My sisters came back 1:4. Her son is perfect. Not a thing wrong. Tht test is horrible and gives way to many false results. Please try and stay as calm as possible until you know more.

sorry for your update but I agree with others, pray that baby is fine, and if something is wrong, I hope you have the strength to move forward with whatever your choice is. . so hard and I do think the not knowing is horrendous. .
