Can't decide where to go with ds- opinions needed please!
DH has off on Tuesday and we want to do something with DS (22 months). I was thinking either the Animal Farm Petting Zoo in Manorville, the aquarium in Riverhead or Queens Zoo. Anyone have recent reviews or opinions?

haha I wrote almost this exact post last sunday night.
We decided to go to the riverhead aquarium.
They really enjoyed it! I didn't think they would get alot out of it but DS LOVED it. Started saying so many new words..."shark" "monkey"  It was hard to get him to leave.
I would go early. We got there when it opened at 10, walked around a little inside and then went to the 10:45 sea lion show. It was more for older kids but they sat there and waved at the sea lions.
There was penguins, sting rays, monkeys and some reptiles outside as well as the tanks inside.
We had fun!

I LOVE The Animal Farm Petting Zoo. It is perfect. DS loves the turtle train ride. He goes on and on. He is not a big fan of pony rides (which are free too) but we're working on it!

Of the 3 we have only been to the Animal Farm Petting Zoo. DS is 15 months and loved it- we all had a great day. Not the LI aquarium, but we took DS to the coney Island aquarium when he was 11 months and he didn't "get" it but he was in awe of all of the exhibits. So I am sure your DS would love the aquarium as well!

We like the queens zoo. Just enough to see and do for a,little one. Plus the petting zoo.
We did not,like the aquarium. Thought it was wayyyyy over priced and not enough to,see.

Sorry I am a bit late to the party!
Just took DD who is 8 months old to the queens farm on sunday.. it wasa nice way to spend the afternoon and best of all it was free =))
But not sure it has a whole days worth of entertainment.. Great for a couple of horus!
