canon powershot v. nikon coolpix??
any recs? i have an old sony and there is such a delay in taking pics its so annoying. looking for a new point and shoot

I can't give you a comparison of the two, but I have a new Nikon Coolpix and am very happy with it

We have Nikon coolpix S4000 and love it, takes beautiful pictures, it also has HD video, which is great, but we are selling it bc we almost never use it since we use our phones a lot or I use my DSLR ...

canon powershot v. nikon coolpix??
I had a very bad experience with a nikon. I was constantly bringing it to be repaired. It was a coolpix but the older version of it.

I never had a niikon, but i have had canon cameras before and im a fan, for the fact thats its a solid camera. I have had one for about 10 yrs, dropped it, spilled alcohol on it and it is still going strong. I bought a sony because my canon was getting "old" but to this day the canon has given me less issues than the newer sony one.

That was my reason for switching too. I just got the Nikon P510 for my B-day and I love it! I am able to get great shots of my 5 month old and the zoom is amazing.
