Canon/Nikon SLR owners..???
Does your camera have the navigation chip in it, so it will label your pics with where it was taken when you load it onto the computer? I heard a friend say this about her camera and thats something I need bc I always forget where I take pics! tia!

It's called geotagging....
I have a Nikon D60 & a D300. Neither camera has it. My D300 can be attached to a geotagging device though.
I dont think Canon has it either...but dont quote me on that. (it's been a year or so since I found out about it...things may have changed since then)

So funny, I just learned about this at my Nikon class yesterday. I think it's only the highest-end models so far, but I believe you can buy stuff to add to cameras to get this function too.
Sorry, I didn't pay close enough attention to that part

i was in that class yesterday as well. You see how you can do it in flickr
There is a site they mentioned you can add it to your photographs but my pen died on me and I wrote it halfway. I am searching for it now and will add if i find.
I would carefully read about geo cashing locations (tagging) you might not want to check privacy settings if it contains family members/children. I am not familiar with doing it since my camera's are not professional grade and do not automate it. I also currently do not have a reason to do it. BUT when I went to Ireland it would of been great to do it!

I have a D90, and was at that class as well on Saturday with DH . I don't think my camera has it but I'll have to check out what other posters said about Flickr.
