Canned pumpkin question
Do you give your LO pumpkin? Can canned pumpkin be frozen? My daughter is thinking of giving my granddaughter pumpkin but even the small can is pretty big and she won't be finishing the can in a few days. So she was wondering if it can be frozen.

Yes, you can freeze it. It's simple to make it fresh though.
Buy a fresh sugar pumpkin, scoop out the guts, slice it up, season with cinnamon and allspice, bake, and serve.

Re: Canned pumpkin question
I used canned organic pumpkin and added cinnamon and fresh nutmeg. My DCs loved it! I froze the extra, but it was kind of watery when I defrosted it.

Re: Canned pumpkin question
We tried the canned, buy it doesn't freeze or refridgerate well. The consistency was really off when it defrosted and DD refused it.
