Can you recommend an upright baby swing that doesn't make baby's head flat?
We're trying to get my son to sit upright more to decrease the amount of time he lays back on his head.
My parents HAD an upright swing from when my nephew was a baby, but the front tray opened and the baby tipped forward. (We brought him to the doctor to get checked out since he landed face down on the carpet, and thank GOD, he's okay). So, needless to say, THAT swing went in the garbage.
My little guy LOVES movement. I would like a swing, though, that he can sit upright in.
Any suggestions?

I had a Graco plug in swing that had a thing in the back where you can have them sit up or recline in a few different positions. As for the flat head thing, Boppy sells something that you can put in the swing for head support, helps to prevent flat head.
I found this info on it, and the picture of it in the swing is actually the swing I have lol

Having experience with a baby that needed a cranial helmet due to flat head, unfortunately ANY baby item that you lay your baby on for too long can cause flatness.
Here's the thing. We used that boppy pillow - it did nothing to prevent flatness. We used it in the swing, bouncer, rocker, even on the floor. So I don't think it really does anything personally.
What you can do to prevent or limit flatness is to change baby's head position as often as possible and also encourage LOTS and lots of tummy time. I recommend starting tummy time on a boppy pillow and as they get stronger, moving to a rolled towel and eventually the floor.
