can you please share your ultrascreen/NT scan experience
is this just like a sono or is it more involved?
getting a bit nervous, my appt isn't for another week.

It's amazing!! It's a sonogram.. but they take their time and look at all the organs to make sure everything is ok. You get to watch your baby in there for a while. It's amazing!!!!

It is a sono where they do measurements of the baby and they take blood. (stick your finger kind)

I didn't get blood work done that day and when I did it was never in my finger. Your dr. should tell you when you should be getting your blood drawn. Every office does it differently.
have fun at the sono!!

like the pp said it is an involved sono with a combo blood test (mine was in my arm ) i loved this sono because your baby actually starts to look like a baby they move all around and it is just magical they also take measurement of the back of the neck and with the combo bld test they can see if there is an increased risk of downs syndrome

Can I just tell you, the finger is worse!!! The tip of my finger was so sore!!!! Sorry I am not trying to scare OP. Honestly it is all worth it for what you get to see!

I so preferred the little prick of the finger to the vials of blood being drained from me
The sonos are really awesome, we got a whole role of film!

It was a detailed sonogram. Mine lasted for about 25 minutes (the baby was being stubborn) then at the end they take your blood
