Can you get a Pap if you might be pregnant?
So Im due for my annual gyno exam but have been putting it off because we are TTC...ideally I would like to have an exam before I get pg, but was afraid that I could be in the TWW and then maybe shouldnt have a Pap....should I just try to schedule the one week after my pd but before I O?

Yes. I don't think that it would have any affect. When I went to my first prenatal appt, back when I was PG with DS, my Dr gave me a pap. (I was about 7 wks along.) However, if you are uncertain, you should call and ask you Dr's office.

When I went in for my first appt AFTER I found out I was pregnant, my doctor did a pap on me cause I was due for my annual.
Ask your doctor, but I think it's fine to have it done.

I have heard of many dr's doing paps when woman are pregnant.

Every Dr is different. If it is time for your yearly and you are TTC let them know when you make your appointment. EVERY WOMAN SHOULD HAVE A YEARLY!!!!!! I never thought that a yearly would mean so much...I went while TTC and it was the most useful, meaningful yearly I have ever had.
And although I am not PG...my dr said that it didn't matter...a yearly is the most important thing for a womans health, and if they are PG when they should have a yearly They should still go for the appointment.

Yes, you can and should go for your pap. I've had two since I've been pg, it is not a problem.

yes, of course. When I got pg, the first thing they did was give me a pap and take my blood.

Same with me. She did one when I was 9 weeks pregnant.

Ok..thanks everyone...I thought they wouldnt because I think I was due for one the last time I got pregnant and they never gave me one....Ill double check when I make the appt!!Thanks again!

Ya, I was due in Feb & when I went for my 1st PG visit they did a pap, I was 5 weeks PG
