Can use some creative assistance from you ladies
We are planning on telling my 12 year old SD this week that a lil sibling is on the way. We want to make it special for her. I think she's way too old for an "I"m the big sister" t-shirt at this point. It doesn't exactly go with her Uggs and Abercrombie. I tried looking in a few stores for a frame or something that says "Big Sister", "I love my sister" or whatever but I couldn't find anything.
Does anyone have any suggestions for ways we can do something nice for her for this occasion?

My step-daughter was 13 when we told her we're expecting and we still gave her a Big Sister t-shirt. I just went to Michael's and got sparkly letters and a pink shirt and ironed them on myself. It wasn't the most fashionable thing in her wardrobe but she thought it was cute and eagerly wore it the next day when we dropped her off to her mom.
If you want to get a frame, I got this one from BRU. Me and My Big Sister

I think the jewelry is nice - but I wouldn't do a birth stone as you can never expect when the LO to arrive! Have you tried like Kohl's - I know they have sister frames there.

We did a frame with a sono in it, and a bib that said I love my big sister. She cried, I cried, it was amazing. We videotaped it too. She was almost 11.

What about filling her room with pink and blue balloons? Someone had that idea with a box for Christmas and I thought it was so creative.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for posting this. Kohl's didn't have anything like that.
Thanks for your ideas ladies. I like them all!
