Can not sleeping at home throw off a newborn?

We stayed at in laws saturday night...when we got home DS (1 month old)would not sleep, crying, fussy. When he finally did sleep he was up every 1.5-2 hrs as opposed to his normal 3 hr routine of waking.

Is it possible he was thrown off by sleeping over in laws or is he too young to be effected?

I guess it could.

Thankfully it never did for AJ. Usually she was fussy only because she wanted more attention she got elsewhere or because something else was up. Gas, ear infections etc.

I am a strong believer in going with the flow and teaching her to learn to live with change. I didn't want her to be the kind of kid who only slept at home or only on certain material or only with certan light, sound, air quality etc. I just guess I got lucky. AJ will sleep anywhere in any condition.

But yes, in that first year and a half it was topsy turby up and down with sleep and had little to do with where she was or what was around her. Didn't consistently STTN etc. But in my mind I had already committed to that. BUT, I'm sure that each child is individually different.
