Can my 8 month old sleep with a boppy?
I just recently took him out of the Rock and Play- I know it's bad but i need sleep- anyway he is having a terrible time transitioning except.... when I let his head rest on the Boppy (like another mom suggested.) If I remove it, he immediately wakes up. So my question is, can he sleep all night with his head on the Boppy?
Any other suggestions? I'm desperate.

I personally wouldn't - i can't imagine its good for his neck to be on that all night, and i can only imagine how uncomfortable and or dangerous it would be if he tries to roll. I wouldnt' want to take that kind of chance.
if he's missing the incline of the rnp, you could try putting a rolled up towel under the head of the mattress to raise up that end and give it a little incline - just a small one. We did that for a week in the beginning to help him transition. Also, try swaddling or putting him in a sleep sack to help him feel as cozy and nestled as he was in the rnp

No, that's definitely incredibly unsafe. It's a major suffocation hazard plus, like PP mentioned, it can't be good for the neck. It may a rough few nights or so, but he will get used to it.

Re: Can my 8 month old sleep with a boppy?
Technically, babies should not sleep on a boppy at any age. There is a tag on the boppy that says so. However, I know I let my DD sleep in it for naps when she was a newborn. I always felt if I was close by it was ok. As parents I think we sometimes need to make the best decision for us personally, regardless of what we are "suppossed" to do.
As far as suggestions, maybe propping up the mattress a little? Not sure if that would help.

I definitely would not do it all night. If he slips dowm just a little it can tilt his head down which could affect his breathing. Im not going to lie, I did it sometimes with the twins but only for naps and I stayed in the same room as they were.

MY DS has a hard time transitioning. I would just do it over a weekend when you can give up some sleep. My DS only took 2 days to get used to being flat and started sleeping on his stomach at the same time.
I had tried for a few weeks and kept giving up cause he would scream the minute he was flat.

No. It even says on the boppy not to be used for sleep and not to leave them unattended on it.
