5 1/2 month old sleep ?- going crazy

my ds is up every night now almst every hour. We thought it was gas, but as soon as we pick him up he falls asleep on us.
Me & dh are exhausted.. We'e been taking turns sitting up on the couch holding ds while he sleeps, but about an hour after laing him in the crib he wakes up crying.

any suggestions??? I feel like he's changed so much in a week... growth spurt maybeChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

have you tried putting a wedge under his mattress, maybe he needs to be up on an angle.

you know, he had a cold a few weeks back and we put a towel under his sheet to elevate his head to help him breathe better. We took the towel out about 2 weeks ago. I guess it cant hurt to try again. Maybe elevating his head would help?

Starting around 5/12months my DS had a few nights like that. He has had a total of about 4 of them in the past month - no ryme or reason to it though and not sure what it is - ped said it could be any number of things at this age Chat Icon

Yup this sounds like Taylor-she mouths everything especially the yummy toes. She had a few nights of not sleeping through and then viola it was over Chat Icon

DS is doing this too & my ped said it could be nighttime separation anxiety. They get very aware of things around this age

Either way, I'm sure it's just a phase
