Can I get your advice?

Hello ladies,
I hope you don't mind a crasher, but I have read your responses to questions and you all seem very knowledgeable and helpful. I am feeling very conflicted right now. I am only on my 3rd month trying, but I've been charting for the last 5 months. I believe that this month we are already out because I am 10 dpo and I am already spotting. The problem is, I don't have a regular LP and it is starting to freak me out. Although my LP ranges from 12-14 days (lately it's 12), I start spotting on 10 dpo/11 dpo. This makes me very nervous. You know when you just feel like something is "off?" That's how I feel. I am going to a new doctor on Sept. 17 and I feel like I am ready for a fresh start. My last doctor was NOT supportive and pretty much ridiculed me for temping and using opks. I was told, "no one does that anymore." I'm hoping this one will be more forward-thinking than that!

My question is: When I show my charts to the doctor, what might I hear? Do you think bloodwork will be ordered? It will most likely be CD 10 when I go. Must CD 3 and CD 20 bloodwork be done the same cycle or can it be CD 20 of one cycle and CD 3 of the next cycle? I'll be bummed if I have to wait until the next cycle to do the bloodwork because then that's two more cycles from now that I'll have to wait to actually do something if we find something wrong.
If any of these questions have obvious answers, please bear with me. I appreciate any advice you have. If you have any questions that you think I should be asking the doc (based on my info) please feel free to share.
Thanks sooooooooo much in advance!

Why don't you do for CD3 b/w this up and coming cycle. It can't hurt and it should be covered under insurance. Call your new doctors office and request that they either give you a prescription or that you go to their office for it. Can't hurt.

Also, I think its Vitamin B6 helps with the Luteal phase defect. And maybe progesterone. Do a little research on that and see what you find.

Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. I have been taking vitamin B6 to lengthen it and it worked at first, but now it has tapered off. Do you think a new office will let me do CD 3 bloodwork even if I haven't gone there yet? Can you just request that?

Re: Can I get your advice?

Are you seeing an RE or an OB? My new RE would not even see me if I didn't get CD3 b/w done. An OB may not be as aggressive. But, call and ask.

Re: Can I get your advice?

Well, AF showed yesterday. My cycle is becoming more and more short- 24 days this month. Yikes! Tomorrow will be CD 3. I am actually going to my regular doctortomorrow to get bloodwork done because they lost the bloodwork that I did in August at my regular appointment. My doctor said she would order additional labs for me since it was their mistake (at no charge) and would do the CD 3 testing. Here's hoping they stand by their word!

The doctor i'm seeing on the 17th is a regular obgyn. I had made this appointment back in July so I figured I might as well keep it. I'm hoping she'll be able to offer me fresh eyes and if she thinks something is irregular hopefully she'll be able to help.

Re: Can I get your advice?

GYNs are great for regular issues...but REs are really the way to go. I LOVE my OBGYN and when I was having issues, she immediately sent me to a RE because infertility is not her specialty. I appreaciated that she was honest with me!

Good Luck on your journey...may it be short and fruitful!
