Can I do anything???? TRU return question
I got DD a toy from TRU...a simple, generic $5 toy that she loved. She didn't know I bought it and I saved it as a special reward for her. A couple of weeks later she earned it and I surprised her with it. The receipt is long gone! She played with it for literally less than 5 min., not rough or anything, and it broke!
Do I have any chance of them returning/exchanging it? What can I do with it now? Ugh!!!! I hate TRU!

i would honestly take it back and explain what you just did....and tell them you would like an exchange.
if they say no - contact the toy manufacturer and be SURE to express your disgust with Toys R Us.

Did you put it on your credit card or use your rewards card? They might be able to look it up that way.

on my rewards r us page it says i can return it without receipt and i see it listed under my purchases. i'm gonna try tomorrow!

they should be able to look it up by your rewards card then...I did this with diapers once. They were able to see what credit card I used so maybe it'll show you paid cash. If not, you'll probably just get a store credit.
