Can I and how do I contest a red light ticket?
I am beyond pi$$ed.
I got a ticket in the mail saying I went through a red light.
IMPOSSIBLE! Because I stopped at the white line and turned right.
The pic shows me at the line (before) then slightly turning on next pic. Except with the sun you CANNOT see that my lights are red. They just show a bit brighter.

It's a right on red ticket. They are saying that you didn't come to a full stop behind the white line before making a right turn. I don't think you can contest it, sorry (but of course I might be wrong!)
ETA: I don't think they look at the color of your lights. Red light tix are automatic/computer generated and ater determined by the position of your car (past the line after it turns red). Right turn on red tix are determined by actual people watching the cameras.

Yes. With the cameras, the rule is full stop for at least 3 seconds.

OK... I reviewed the video. I stopped for 1 second before the line then accelerated. Not 3 seconds.

Did you watch the video? You can watch a video of yourself online. One time I did this, was pizzed that i got a ticket. Then when I watched the video I saw that I did not make a full stop, which is ticket worthy. So I then paid.

Yes, I reviewed it after talking to the customer service. I stopped for 1 second instead of 3 then accelerated.

damn foreign woman driver!
I am the one being passed by everyone because I drive on the right lane at the speed limit. I stop at all red lights, stop signs.
I stopped 1 second at a stop light instead of 3 seconds to turn right. I even make sure I stopped before the line. Ticket!!!
Just not a good day today!
I will pay the ticket since it was not 3 seconds.

I was told if you don't want a ticket at those you have to count to 5 like 1 one thousand, 2 one thousand etc. I was told 5 not 3 seconds.

No, the rule is 3 seconds not five. But counting to five gives you some wiggle room.

All I can say is that I was told by someone who worked with the lights to count to 5 not 3 as many people do.
