Can babies have yams?
I make DD's baby food and at the supermarket today I was looking for sweet potatoes but they didn't have any, so I bought a couple yams instead. I looked in the baby food book I have when I got home and they aren't even mentioned. Has anyone given them to their DC?

DS loves yams!
We throw it in the microwave and DS has an instant snack.

Re: Can babies have yams?
yes then can and no Sweet potoatos and Yams are not the same. They are actually not related. True Yams are only recently becoming common in the US and Sweet potatoes are often mistakenly called yams.
