can anyone further explain the TRU return poilcy to me?
I brought 4 toys back that I wanted to return to tru without a receipt. They only took 3 back because the total reached $75. I was in a rush, didn't want to start a convo about it so I just thought to myself, fine, I'll send DH back with the 4th toy another day. But, I rarely buy our toys from tru so I had no idea that yo ucan on;y return $75 worth of toys if you do not have a receipt. Actually, as I am typing this, I remember that I did have a gift receipt for 1 toy worth $20 that I gave them. This is such bs policy. What if I had a $100 toy that I wanted to return? WOuld I have to track the receipt down from the gift giver?

honestly, that sounds better than previous experiences i've had with BRU and TRU. I've had stuff that is their brand that they would not return without a receipt. And a game that said especially made for TRU that they wouldn't return.
i know target has a similar policy only allowing you to return a certain dollar amount without a receipt for ID holder. We had to give our drivers license.

I'm pretty sure that without a receipt, the limit is $50 PER YEAR!!

Ihave been blocked for some time. I am really curious how long it will be. If I know Target sells the toy, I have been going there to return without recepit. They always take back.

It's a year!! Tops $150 with out receipt. For a while there I was looking for people with "clean" licenses. I hate their return policy and hate that they are like a monopoly in my area. You really have no choice, but to shop there. Then people give you gift cards and you have to keep shopping there!
