Did you know.... (TRU return)
that if someone buys a toy and then returns it...let's say they found the same item at a cheaper price...but gives the TRU gift receipt and the recipient goes to return the item...they get embarrassed at the store?
Becasue TRU won't take it back.

That's what I thought too...now they don't know the whole buying a cheaper one idea...but they do know it was returned. It's tracked on the code on the receipt...so they can see it was already returned and won't take anymore back on the receipt.
Makes sense... I don't argue that...just makes it hard on the recipient.

They know because of the codes on the receipt people would be sharing receipts if that was the case. They don't know if you got it from a different store though, they just know it was returned already.

Wow, but yes, I did know that. The item is coded to both the original receipt and the gift receipt. If returned on the original receipt, they gift receipt becomes useless!
