I don't think so.

I do know that your cervix looks different when you are pregnant. I went for an appointment when I was 7 or 8 weeks and the doctor said mine looked perfectly pregnant. I actually miscarried so I guess a perfect cervix does not indicate a perect pregnancy. Go figure. She told me that before pregnancy tests that is how doctors were able to tell if you were pregnant. They would check the cervix. I think she said it turns blue?

I also had a pap at that appointment. Lots of pregnant women have paps. I don't think they would do them if they could give abnormal results.

So I don't think so but I could be wrong.

My guess is no.

My guess is you are testing positive for HPV.

I had it, and thankfully, my body fought it off and I no longer have it. But I did have to have a LEEP.

Ask your doctor, but I'm guessing its HPV. And dont worry. I had pre-cancerous cells. They got EVERYTHING with the LEEP and I'm fine.

SO EVEN if you have pre-cander cells its NOT a big deal!!!! It was 6 years ago for me.

i dont know about it coming up abnormal if you are pregnant. but i just wanted to say that a lot of people have abnormal paps and they end up being false alarms.

in my case, i did have the abnormal pap and had the biopsy where they found precancerous cells. I had the LEEP precedure to remove them. This was all in 2003 and I haven't had an abnormal pap since. I have been seeing a RE since this past nov. and I asked him if that would have any impact....he said not usually but occasionally in can reduce the CM that you are producing. he didn't seem to think it was a big deal.

So there is probably nothing wrong but even if there is I wouldn't worry about it impacting getting pregnant.

Hi I also had an abnormal pap led to a leep procedure i had this years ago but when it did happen i asked my dr if this would interfere with having children she said no. I now have a 14 month old I personally didnt have any problem getting pregnant.Best of luck to you

no, it's not.
they even give you a PAP when you are pregnant and it hopefully comes back normal.

It's an indication of something else or a false alarm of something else.

Just wanted to throw in there that I had an abnormal pap and did not test positive for HPV so it's not necessarily that. I had a colposcopy and everything came back fine! More times than not it is just a fluke!

having an abnormal pap does not mean you have HPV, you have to have an actual HPV test to find that out (sometimes they do it with your pap). You can be abnormal for many reasons... having sex to close to your pap, still staining after your period at the time of your pap, or just a fluke. I have never heard of it being cause your pregnant.
