C-Section with #2 - anxiety?
I had an unplanned c-section for my son after I was induced (his head was big and his heart rate dropped when I pushed). Everything turned out great.
My doc has planned to do a c-section again and I've been fine with it for months. However, I am having baby #2 next Friday and am now freaking out. I woke up crying from 3-5am thinking about how I could die, my son would not have a mom, etc. I know it sounds horrible but I guess I didn't have time to react last time and now that it's planned I am going crazy.
Has anyone felt this way? How do you calm yourself? maybe there is no advice but I guess it helps just to write out my fears. Thanks

Re: C-Section with #2 - anxiety?
I think its common to have fears since it is a major surgery. I had an emergency C/S with DS#1 as well so I understand.
This time all the drama and rushing that happened the first time isn't going to be an issue.
I'm OCD and very type A so the way I'm dealing with it by planning everything I can for DS#1. I feel that if I know he is cared for the same way I do for him on a daily basis (I'm a SAHM) I'll be able to relax better.

Re: C-Section with #2 - anxiety?
I had a c-section with DS #1 although it was pretty clear I was probably going to have a c-section the month before I gave birth (DS was breech and I have a heart shaped uterus) now with #2 I think about it more often. (and I am still early in my pregnancy)
Think about that beautiful baby that you will get to hold and smooch! Good Luck and you will be fine!! Think good thoughts
