C-Section Post-Op question
I had a C-section 10/3. Pain wasn't too bad, and everything is healing nicely. However, I had really torn stomach muscles, that split so that's where I'm feeling nost of the pain. I'm about 5 weeks post-op and starting to feel a little more sore in the abdomin. It feels like its my muscles, and my husband says they are just healing.
How have your recoveries been? Has anyone with muscle issue had the same thing? What can you do to help with the healing process?
I can't wear anything other than sweatpants or leggings. It's just too uncomfortable.

Re: C-Section Post-Op question
I had a c-section and I didn't find recovery all that bad.
What I did, and this was the advice I had gotten from many women including my aunt who was a mid-wife, was I wore support underwear pretty much immediately after I had the c-section. It's pretty much the underwear with the girdle to help hold everything in place and offer support while I was healing. Like you, I wore sweats or leggings every day because it was more comfortable. I believe when you get a c-section, they cut through 3 layers of tissue so you have to remember that each layer has to heal.

Re: C-Section Post-Op question
my ab split never healed (3 months PP now) and its quite large in fact. the pain isn't as bad but it transferred to back pain since my stomach is so weak now.

Re: C-Section Post-Op question
From what other patients of my dr I spoke to said, my dr doesn't cut muscle. He cuts very low. Im 3.5 weeks out and have very little pain. If you have increasing pain, I'd call the dr.

Re: C-Section Post-Op question
My Dr. said they don't cut muscle either. I had twins so I guess I was just really really stretched to the point where they split. I am hoping it's just the different layers healing. It feels like a stretching feeling.

Re: C-Section Post-Op question
I had a c section back in may & it's funny u post this bc I was ok with the pain right after.. It seemed at around 4-6 weeks after it was more painful. I figured bc stuff was healing. It went away after that time period though.
